By road
There are two highways connected to LehLadakh by road. First one is Srinagar – Leh highway and the other one is Manali – Leh highway. The first one remains open between July and November and covers the distance of 434 km whereas the second one remains open from mid-June to early-October and covers the distance of 473 km.
By flight
The nearest airport to LehLadakh is KushokBakulaRimpochee Airport which is situated in Leh. The cabs are available easily outside the airport which will take you to Ladakh. It is one of the highest commercial airports which is connected directly to Mumbai, Kolkata, Srinagar, Delhi, Jammu etc. The flights which operate include GoAir, Air India, and Jet Airways.
By bus
The Jammu and Kashmir State Tourism and Himachal Pradesh Tourism operate deluxe and ordinary buses daily between Srinagar-Leh and Manali-Leh. The journey from bus takes 17-19 hours to reach Leh.
By train
Jammu Tawi is the closest station which is situated at the distance of 708 km from Ladakh. To reach Ladakh, hire a taxi or board a bus which is easily available outside the railway station. It will take 15-16 hours to reach Ladakh. The station is directly connected to most of the major cities.
