Leh Palace

Pangong Lake

Stok Palace

Built about 200 years ago, Stok Palace has the rare paintings of Buddhist deities Avalokiteshwara, Shakyamuni, Tara, Vajrapani, Amchi, etc. The museum in the palace also has the giant statue of Avalokiteshwara and 100 plus statue of Buddhist teachings.

Hemis National Park

Situated in the eastern side of Ladakh district in Jammu & Kashmir in north India, Hemis Park has the distinction of being the largest park in South Asia. The park which is spread over 4400 sq. km is a home to approx. 17 species of mammals and 74 birds. The park is a home of endangered mammals such as Asiatic ibex, leopards, Eurasian brown bear, Tibetan wolf and red fox. One of the wonders of Leh boast 200 leopards and it is the only habitat of Ladakhiurial or Shapu in India. It is also the home to small mammals such as mountain weasel, Himalayan marmot, and Himalayan mouse hare.

Shanti Stupa

Located at a height of 4267 meters overlooking the city of Leh, Shanti Stupa gives a beautiful view of snow-capped mountains. It is situated at the distance of about 5-6 km drive from Leh city or one can also climb 500 steps to reach the place. Its location is such that it is visible from all over the Leh city.

A white Stupa dome built on Changspa, a steep hill opposite the Leh Palace gives a beautiful view at sunset and sunrise, it looks more beautiful at night illuminated in white light. The stupa was built by Japanese and Ladakh Buddhists and is one of the must places to visit in Leh.
